Bishop John Folda and the faithful of Fargo welcome you to the Cathedral of St. Mary. The word ‘cathedral’ originates from a Latin word, cathedra, meaning seat. The Cathedral Church serves as the seat of the Bishop in a particular Diocese. All visitors who are not of the Roman Catholic faith are welcome to join us in prayer but to refrain from receiving Holy Communion. Reception of Holy Communion is a sign of unity of faith and full membership in the Catholic Church. Together let us pray for the eventual unity of all believers.
